GETTING
THERE:
Easy! A short walk along the bayfront lands you at Fisherman's
Wharf. You will pass Pier 39 and continue another block to the
Wharf. One of the first sights you see will be "fish alley"
where the morning's catch is prepared. |
 |
CABLE
CARS:
It's easy to catch a cable car from Fisherman's Wharf because
two of the lines terminate and turn around at the Wharf. The
adult fare is $2. For those with historical interest in cable
cars, visit the Cable Car Barn and Museum on the corner of Washington
and Mason Streets. |

GHIRADELLI
SQUARE:
The former home of the Ghiradelli Chocolate Factory now
houses a number of stores, art galleries, restaurants, and cafes.
Ghiradelli chocolate can be purchaed from the Ghiradelli store.
Located across the street from Fisherman's Wharf area. |

NIGHTLIFE:
Have cocktail at one of the Wharf's many bars and pubs such
as Steelhead Brewery, Knuckles Sports Bar, Fiddler's Green,
and Jacks Cannery Bar. Enjoy an "infamous" Irish coffee at Buena
Vista Cafe (our personal favorite!). Experience an evening of
comedy at Cobb's Comedy Club in The Cannery. If you're looking
for live music, Lou's on Pier 47 is a haven for Blues musicians.

THE
FAMILY DOG:
We've not been able to get a definitive answer on whether
dogs are permitted at Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Both are
outdoor environments, and we've seen several dogs on leashes
in both places. |
